Is Nihongo free?
Yes. Download it from the App Store and study for free. AI features use credits, which come with Pro.
What does Pro include?
Pro costs $15 per month and adds 500 credits each month. Credits pay for online translation, photo translation, Voice, Chat, generated decks and stories, and video dubs. You can buy extra credit packs from $5.
Does it work offline?
Yes, after you download what you need. Decks, audio, the translation model, and the dictation model can all be downloaded. With both models, Voice also works offline, without spoken audio. Sign-in, Chat, photo translation, and sync need a connection.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.4 or later. The Chrome extension runs in Chrome on your computer.
How do I link the Chrome extension?
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store. In the app, open Settings, then Chrome, then Link Chrome, and scan the code the extension shows.
How do I sign in?
Enter your email address in the app and type the one-time code we send you. There is no password.
What happens to my data?
Your study progress syncs to your account. Read the privacy policy for the details.
